2 | Recitals (Evaluation on Service Programs) | The core of the Program is designed to guide juveniles in Taoyuan City who are accustomed to skipping school (cutting class) and help them go back to a normal school life. We hope to help juveniles rediscover the correct values for life through implementation of the plan. | |||||||||||||||||||
3 | Objectives of Plan | (1) Primarily help juveniles accustomed to skipping school (cutting class). In order to prevent the juveniles from being stuck in trouble and help them go back to the normal life and build the correct lifestyle and value. (2) Based on the concepts about hand in hand and peer counseling, we provide the counseling service about the misconduct of the juveniles accustomed to skipping school, in one hand, and offer the Department of Psychology students the chance to practice their knowledge and combine the practical counseling with theories, in hopes of strengthening their ability to deal with the juveniles’ problems with skipping school and even dropping out. | |||||||||||||||||||

Number of student teams: a total of 8 teams, consisting of a total of 25 persons. Total number of service recipients: 400 persons (number of service recipients*number of frequency). | |||||||||||||||||||||
8 | Descriptions about expected students’ growth in professions | 1. Help the students prove the theories by practicing. 2. Strengthen the students’ ability to deal with the problems about juveniles accustomed to skipping school and dropping out. | |||||||||||||||||||

10 | Rating criteria (Please include the way to assess service programs.) | Each student shall counsel 1~2 junior high school students each time, go to the junior high school once or twice per week, and provide the counseling service for no less than 10 times per case. 40% for counseling service provided to junior high school students 60% for the Department’s supervision (40% for participation in and performance of supervision, 10% for learning attitude, 10% for attendance at meeting, 10% for i-learning participation, 30% for the final report.) |
