Be Brave to Explore the World and Practice Your Dream!

The youth’s cross-border action and participation in international affairs have rendered positive influence on Taiwan’s position in the world. In order to encourage the youth to explore the world and make the world see Taiwan, Ministry of Education organized the “2016 Youth International Participating Action Exposition” in the Dome of Light at Formosa Boulevard of KRTCO today (May 15), invited a lot of young people to share their stores about practicing dreams and also encouraged the youth to be brave to explore the world and take a gorgeous adventure.

Han-lin and CYCU overseas volunteer groups went to Cambodia in last summer (2015) to provide the local children with the most passionate English education and, particularly, share with the local teachers about the vivid and interesting English teaching, in hopes of training the local teaching force and rooting and sprouting the seeds of love in the mind of teachers of Cambodia by enabling the local people to help the other local people, and rendering more profound influence on the local methods for teaching English.

Meanwhile, the youth group member of the Inspiring Seeds Plan, Cheng Hui-Hsin, also shared their experience, telling that as they saw the significant gap in education between the rural area and urban area of Tainan, they initiated the social movement and directed to the NGO and social enterprises in the United Kingdom to verify the efforts made by the education organizations in the United Kingdom to help the disadvantaged students and inspire the students’ creativity. As a result, they witness various aspects about education and also planned to help the disadvantaged students in Taiwan based on their experience learned overseas and build a dream boat for the rural area disadvantaged students.

Deputy Minister of Education, Lucia S. Lin, also mentioned that Ministry of Education kept conceiving and planning to train the talents with the cross-cultural communication ability and international competitiveness, and Ministry of Education established the “Promoting Young Students’ Global Mobility Project” in hopes of enabling the young students to be rooted in Taiwan and take a broad global view. She said that the international participating action shared with each person today hoped to help the youth understand the related platforms and resources provided by Ministry of Education and Youth Development Administration. Meanwhile, any persons who are engaged in education should be obligated to help the youth practice their dream, and she hoped that all young people may identify Ministry of Education and Youth Development Administration as their backup when practicing their dream, in order to make the world see more possibilities with Taiwan’s youth.

Ministry of Education hoped to encourage the young people to explore the world through the exposition and experience shared by the other young people. It will also continue to encourage the youth to engage in overseas volunteer, international experience learning, domestic/overseas tutorial and feat by group, youth to develop their global view and upgrade their global mobility.
