Six CYCU student groups headed for Cambodia, Myanmar, Salvador, Thailand, Japan and Philippines to provide services. After returning to Taiwan, they continued to spread their love and passion, and shared their experience in those exotic villages with teachers and the public through bazaar and presentation of results. The Cambodia overseas volunteer group also brought back the “Chimmuwa” handwoven work, in hopes of enabling all people to know about the social enterprise founded by Taiwanese and rooted at the Thai-Burmese Border through the bazaar.

The Cambodia international volunteer group consisting of students from CYCU Department of Psychology, Department of Special Education, Department of Business Administration, Department of International Business, Department of Electronic Engineering and Department of Applied Linguistics and Language Studies, “Love with Cambodia” headed for Siem Reap, Cambodia in August this year to work with the local development organization, “KAKO”, to organize the village seed English teacher training activity and provide the village child students with vivid and interest camp activities.

CYCU volunteers knew the NGO, “Chimmuwa”, founded by Ms. Lin Liang-Shu. “Chimmuwa” refers to a public welfare brand originating from the handwoven work made by the local women at Thai-Burmese Border. The local development organization, “KAKO”, in Cambodia also raised the fund for child education through the bazaar of Chimmuwa products.
