Teacher Lin Wen-Chi and Teacher Chen Li-Yu of CYCU Department of Interior Design took the chance of summer vacation to make the large-size book shelves for Fongbin Primary School together with the six students, including Tsai Lei, Chang Hsuen-Pin, Ssu Yen-Chun, Ho Mei-Ping, Chen Hsin and Chen Yi.

The teachers and students of CYCU Department of Interior Design only spent three hours in finishing six large-size book shelves and demonstrated their specialty physically.

Principal of Fongbin Primary School, Yang Chih-Hsuan, revealed that the initiator of this volunteer service, Teacher Lin Wen-Chi of CYCU Department of Interior, is the father of Lin Yu-Shan, who used to work as the School’s night tutoring volunteer. Lin Yu-Shan learned that the School’s teaching materials room lacked large-scale shelves when serving in the School. Because the School only had limited budget, she asked her father, Lin Wen-Chi, who specializes in business, to make the same without charge at the School.

Lin Wen-Chi contacted Principal Yang Chih-Hsuan, and took the chance of summer vacation to arrange personnel to make the shelves at the School.

Yang Chih-Hsuan revealed that in consideration of the shortfall of government budget, many rural area elementary schools had to worry about the budget for equipment and facilities; fortunately, the assistance from Lin Wen-Chi, et al. made the School’s teachers and students feel so lucky and thankful.
