Cultural Heritage and World Heritage

  • Course Description:
    This course involves guiding students on-site visits to municipally designated heritage sites, where they explore the artistic value of traditional architectural craftsmanship, including artifacts, stone carvings, wood carvings, cut-and-paste ceramics, and paintings. Through hands-on practice, students learn how to preserve traditional architectural works and gain knowledge and skills related to the renovation of traditional buildings. The course also supports temple authorities in preserving more of these cultural and artistic heritage pieces.

  • Course Description:
    Through lectures, this course introduces students to the philosophy of life, enabling them to interact with families of individuals with disabilities. These interactions foster positive parent-child experiences and strengthen social support networks. Students participate in activities such as emotional co-learning and art therapy, experiencing resilience and the value of service. The course encourages reflection and a deeper understanding of the meaning of life, nurturing empathy for others while fostering personal growth.

Service Learning / Introduction to Service-Learning

  • Service Recipients: Overseas and domestic rural areas, nonprofit organizations
  • Course Description:
    Student teams participate in service-learning activities in overseas countries such as Thailand and Cambodia, as well as in domestic rural areas and nonprofit organizations. These activities aim to support underprivileged children and teenagers by providing them with educational and care resources.
